Mountain Biking Through Wildlife Conservancies

Pedal through the open savannah, rolling landscapes, and ancient forests of Laikipia. Your route connects Loisaba, Lolldaiga, Borana, and Il Ngwesi, taking you through landscapes protected by private and community conservation efforts. Keep an eye out for endangered Grevy’s zebra, ride beneath yellow fever trees, and enjoy an exhilarating descent from Mukogodo Forest into the community-owned Il Ngwesi Conservancy.

Track Black Rhinos on Foot

Experience the thrill of tracking critically endangered black rhinos on foot with expert rangers in Sera Conservancy. Staying at Saruni Rhino, you’ll explore a landscape where community stewardship plays a vital role in protecting wildlife. This encounter offers a deeper understanding of rhino conservation and the people working to secure the species’ future.

Connect with Maasai and Samburu Communities

Get to know the people whose traditions and knowledge are closely connected to these landscapes. At Il Ngwesi, visit a Maasai manyatta or explore the bush with expert local guides. Further north, witness the Samburu Singing Wells, where herders use distinctive family songs to call their cattle to water—a powerful expression of the relationship between community, culture, and nature.

"This trip was a unique custom experience. We were the only ones 'out there'. Highly recommended! I tell people that I was in "REAL Africa- not Tourist Africa!"
